We blessed Paige the first Sunday in September, a whole two weeks after moving into the ward. As is apparent from previous posts, life was a little wild.
We were so excited to have some of our close family friends be able to attend the special day. Marcus' parents and his sister Kim drove down from Washington. Our dear friends from Idaho Falls, Tammi and Frank, drove down. Our good friends from grad school, Dave and Amanda and their family came from SLC.
Marcus gave a beautiful blessing. It was powerful. He cried. I cried. We hosted a very simple lunch in our backyard afterwards.
My mother-in-law had a gall bladder attack and was so, so sick.
It wasn't until I had a moment to breathe and was eating a sandwich roll in the backyard that I realized we had not called and invited any of our family (other than immediate). What!? It still kills me. How do you forget that!? I am not sure but it happened. (Sorry and Aunts and Uncles that read this!)
