Paige is so different from all the other kids. She has her own look. I am not sure how Marcus and I manage but our kids all have such different looks. Paige is a higher maintenance baby. But she has been great at sleeping in the nights. She started having really long stretches (like 8 hours) around 4 weeks old. She wakes up if she is hungry. When my milk is down she is up more. When she is nice and full she sleeps through the night.
She will not take a binky or a bottle. Will not. I promise. We have tried. Ohhh, have we tried. Her hair is spiky. We have never had spiky hair before. We can't tell her eye color. At first we thought brown but they have lightened now. I am guessing hazel. She has a widow's peak and a little bit of a mohawk.
Paige doesn't like pretty much anybody other than Mom (and now Dad because I was sick and she had no other option). I am very happy that Dad has joined the "like" list. She spooks easily. Today we were looking in the mirror and she cooed and scared herself to tears. So hilarious. Whenever people grab her from me I warn them that she hates everyone but there are still some that take offense to her almost instant and very sad screams. She really scares so easily. She doesn't like loud noises or places. She doesn't like new places. We had lunch with Reagan at her school last week and it was pretty much torture for her the entire time. Luckily, it was loud enough that no one even noticed my poor little one crying the entire lunch.
Paige knows how to whine. She does. It kills me but she is my first baby to whine.
I make it sound like this little darling is awful but quite the opposite. She laughs at the most odd occurrences and her laughter is adored by all in the house. The kids try just about anything to produce laughter out of this babe.
We started feeding Paige cereal at just over 5 months because she was hungry. I have also been teaching her how to drink out of a sippy cup. Again... she has been hungry. I rarely get to feed her. Reagan and Ainsley are always waiting for this precious time. Marcus even gets to do this more than I. Ainsley can change a diaper all by herself. She is our little mother.
