The Darrington reunion ended Saturday morning and we headed straight to our good friends David and Amanda's to hang out for a little while. It was so great to visit with them... really really really great. Dave and Amanda are the kind of couple where the husbands get along great and the wives get along great. It was good to catch up with them, let the kiddos play, and catch up some more. Amanda served a beautiful spread for lunch (and last minute too!). She is one talented woman and especially when it comes to making things beautiful. Once again, I left without a single picture taken. Very sad about that.
In the afternoon we headed back to Provo to meet up with Grandma and Grandpa Jackson and drive to Nephi for the Ute Stampede. During our drive I learned that this would be Marcus' first rodeo...ever. The kid grew up in Wyoming!
We stopped at my dear Aunt Betty's home in Nephi first. She is such a wonderful lady. The girls loved the goats and horses in the backyard. I loved the memories her home brought back. We loved going to Nephi as kids. My Aunt Betty and Uncle Kemp were a huge part of that.
Grandma wanted to make sure we were a little early to catch a few carnival rides so off we went. The kids, of course, loved this idea.

Reagan especially wanted to ride the Ferris wheel but I am not a huge fan and the thing takes forever to load and unload so we never did make it. She did see the rodeo queens aka princesses and that helped mend sad feelings. She loved the princesses.

Marcus enjoyed the motorcycle entertainment at the rodeo. I think he enjoyed all of the rodeo other than the hick voice of the announcer. All part of the experience, I explained. It isn't a rodeo without the announcer. Hopefully, we have broadened his horizons just a tad.
