Grandma and Grandpa Darrington

The entire family was very excited for Grandma and Grandpa Darrington to arrive in July. They had been serving a mission in Orlando, Florida for the previous 3 years so we were ready to get re-aquainted. It was great for all of the kiddos but especially for Will as he had never met the Darrington Grandparents before.

Will cuddled right up to Grandpa one day (very very unusual for this kid).

Grandpa took advantage of the moment to continue the family tradition of "Shoe the Old Horse", a little rhyme that Grandpa's Dad used to do. Will especially enjoyed it.

There was a lot of sleeping and resting in general (trying to catch up on three years of go go going - can you blame them!?). Grandpa did manage to catch a game of golf. And, of course, we took a trip to get a Bridgeman's Lollapalooza. It is a massive ice cream creation. Grandpa Darrington served a mission in Minnesota before he was married and it was something the missionaries loved to get. They are still making them today.

Can you believe how big it is? Both Lollapalooza's were finished and Marcus felt sick for quite a while.

We were able to visit Grandpa's mission home

and the apartment in the back over the garage where he lived.

Grandma crocheted a little purse for both Reagan and Ainsley and Reagan did a little needle and thread sewing to be involved. Grandma and Reagan also took a great bike ride together.

My garden has also never looked better. Grandma is a great gardener! The picture doesn't do it justice. The garden was beautiful!

We are grateful they made the trip to see us on their way home.

Regs, I love your shirt. You and Lauren should plan on wearing them the same day. Then, that day, you would know that you and your cousin were twins. Maybe we could skype that day. How fun.
