In March my Dad and I were able to take a tour of the archaeological dig where the Tabernacle is. In preparation of renovating the burnt Tabernacle into the second Provo Temple, they found the foundation of the first Provo Tabernacle.
It was cool to see the foundation and also the objects recovered. They will soon cover it back up to prepare for the ground breaking and then most of the foundation will be destroyed as the digging for the basement/foundation of the new Temple is completed. It was a chilly day but I was so glad that I participated in this and was able to see a bit of history.
