Happy Birthday Marcus!

Yesterday we celebrated Marcus' birthday. I have a few pictures but cannot find the cord for the camera so they will have to wait.

It was a casual celebration because this pregnancy is pretty much in control of what we do these days and today was a "take it easy so you can survive the pain" day.

We did have a special birthday breakfast complete with the requested pumpkin pancakes and accompaning syrup (amazing recipe from my friend Jennie), sausage, and juice. Marcus was thrilled. So happy in fact that he repeated the meal for lunch. He really is pretty easy to please.

For dinner we had Fettucine noodles with red and white sauce, homemade breadsticks, and a green salad. Our birthday candles lit an angel food cake waiting strawberries and whipped topping.

While I watched my beaming husband during our rendition of "Happy Birthday" I couldn't help but think how lucky I am to have a man that finds delight in such small and fun things. My girls LOVE him. He truly brings joy and fun into our home even during the toughest of times. Thank goodness we have two parents and not just one.

This morning I couldn't help but smile when Marcus announced that maybe we should celebrate birthday weeks and not just one day. How can you not love this guy?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARCUS!!!
Love, Your girls

Your casual celebration sounds like a lot of cooking when you're not feeling so well! I'm impressed. I hope you get feeling better soon.
