I am finally finishing up our trip to Florida. We went to Cocoa Beach with Uncle Scott, Aunt Becky, and cousins Aubrey and Sidney. It was a warm day but the wind cooled things right down. The water was freezing but the kids didn't mind for the most part.
Ainsley was caught by a wave and her face says it all.

Our darling girl discovering the ocean

Reags playing in the sand but carefully watching for the cold waves.

Having a blast with Aubrey

Reagan lasted about 20 minutes and then was cold. She was wet and some sand stuck to the inside of her leg and then rubbed it raw from the running. Needless to say, it wasn't the most exciting trip for her but she still had a blast playing with Aubrey. She is my social girl all the way.

Marcus and Scott decided to Boogie Board (adventurous to me considering the cold water) and had a great time even though the waves didn't quite cooperate.

After living in Hawaii beach days just aren't quite as fun to me. I was spoiled having my house across the street and not having to worry about sand, sand, sand, and more sand. I have quickly learned that sand and kids have a love/hate relationship that is much happier with showers or baths close by. Even so, you can't pass up a great day at the beach. We would go again in a heartbeat.
