Wednesday morning Heather and I went to a grocery store and I was amazed at what they had available. Shanghai is much easier living on expats than Dongguan is. We were able to stock up on a few things and try a few snacks as well. We were introduced to, and became addicted to, the digestive crackers with chocolate on them during this trip.
We ate Subway for lunch and then went to a local park. It was awesome. The kids ran around. There were kites flying and then there were KITES FLYING. They were so high in the sky. I have never seen anything like it. We wanted to do some paddle boats but missed the open times by 15 minutes. The kids were disappointed but it was actually okay. I was sitting on a bench nursing the baby and chatting with Heather and this guy walks up to us trying to get us to buy something and he would not take no for an answer. It got quite frustrating and finally Heather got very stern with him and told him to give me some privacy while I am feeding my baby. This is the reminder of "we are in China".
The park also had this little amusement park and the kids went on a few rides. They were selling bubbles so the younger kids played with bubbles and then the older kids joined in as well.

I love Will's tongue on this one

Don't you love the guy smoking. Smoking is everywhere.

As we were leaving we went to a little stand where an older man was doing art with suckers. He was making zodiac animals and then you would spin the wheel to see which one you would get. If he didn't have one made, he would make it up for you right then. I am continually impressed by the skills and artistry we run into.

For dinner we took the Turners to dinner at the Blue Frog. They have been super helpful to us. Paige and Zach were toast but it was important that we do this. We have had such a fun trip. It is much better to travel with family and friends. We have loved hanging out with the Turners and our kids have all had a blast.
