Grandkid Camp 2012/Seattle Trip

This year the Darrington Grandparents were very brave and hosted a Grand kid camp for all kids 6 years and older.  This meant another trip to Washington.

I was very hesitant for a couple of reasons.  Traveling didn't sound appealing at all to me (can't imagine why not), and Reagan was the youngest out of 12 kids.  It was also her first time away from us for any length of time.  Reagan is also my determined child.  She would rather die trying to keep up than ask for help.

Luckily, we had no reason to worry.  Reagan did awesome (although came back talking like a 12 year old instead of a six year old... Whatev!) and the travel wasn't bad.  I was tired and had to keep my feet up but it went much better than other trips at this stage of pregnancy.

The best part was visiting family.  We were able to spend some time with all of Marcus' siblings.  Ainsley and her cousin Sydney had a great time hanging out together.  We were able to visit a cool science museum in Seattle and visit Pike's market.  We were able to spend time at Spencer and Heather's home which we have never been to before.  The only downside was not getting to visit Stephanie's home.

Don't our kids look thrilled to be on this adventure?:)

One of the best parts of the trip was getting to see Laura.  It had been a long time since we had been together and it was so so so so great to visit with her.  I am thrilled she lives close to my in-laws and can't wait for more visits in the future.  She was so great to have a completely relaxed day with my tired body.  I say this often but I am so grateful for these friendships in my life.  The kind that will be there always.

I don't have any pictures of the actual grand kid camp because we weren't there.  Reagan's cousins, with the help of their mom, drew stick figures representing each of the grand kids.  They put the entire group on T-shirts that were so adorable.  This is Reagan's stick figure.  Pretty accurate if you ask us.
