Reagan's Birthday Party

Reagan chose to have a Barbie birthday party.  I tried to convince her of something different but she was determined.  Because of this we did an all girl (and Will) birthday party.  Two of the YW (Emma and Laura) came over and helped with the party.  They were in charge of painting the girls' nails and applying a little bit of make-up.  We didn't invite a crazy amount of kids (like last year) but we still had a big number because we knew we were moving and this would be the final party she would have in Minnesota. 

The party was the beginning of December and was in the middle of house showings and sickness from pregnancy so I wasn't as prepared as I had hoped.  Mostly the activities planned were just a little too advanced for the girls.  My awesome friend, Mirjam, came with her little girls (in the midst of her own crazy day) and was a huge help.  I think the party would have flopped without having that extra help there.  

Reagan had a great time and I hope the other kids did too.

Not the best picture but wanted to include Reagan's good friend Destany.  She was the only other girl in Reagan's primary class. 

Katie.  Katie lived just around the corner from us (we learned about 2 months before we moved).  She is attempting to make a pipe cleaner flower ring.

Another funny thing about the party was the food.  Reagan really wanted me to make chicken salad sandwiches.  My kids were the only ones that ate the food.  Most of the girls wouldn't even touch the croissant.  We also bought some jello cups but they weren't very good (I never buy them and apparently bought a yucky kind) and none of the kids ate them.  I think every kid there left hungry.  They did eat the cupcakes.  Good times.  Next time I am ordering a pizza.
