Reagan turns 5

First off, I cannot believe I have a five-year-old. The last five years have passed so quickly. We love love love having this girl in our home. She is terrific.

At five, Reagan loves to dance. She dances her way through every day. Tonight she was dancing on her dinner chair. It is constant. She also loves people and always wants play dates. She is very social.

The attribute that I have been most impressed with is her determination. When she puts her mind to something, she does it. She learned to tie her shoes (with double knots), snap both fingers, do cartwheels, ride her bike, braid hair, do her own hair with rubber bands, and now reading and telling time. This is not because I am an amazing mother (wouldn't that be nice!) but because she is SO DETERMINED. She decides she wants to do something and then practices non-stop until she can do it.

She is a huge help to me and a great friend. When I am sad, she gives the best hugs. She loves to help in the kitchen and cook with me. She is my pretend queen and she, Ainsley and Marcus can come up with the best pretend play. Some favorites: School, Mom Kid Baby (house), Goobily's Bake Shop, and Acid Ball.

Reagan is very excited for Kindergarten next year. She is a great big sister. Her and Ainsley get along so well and really miss each other when apart. She has been wonderful to Ainsley. I just don't know what I would do without this girl. She has been my sidekick every day for five years. We love you Magoo!
