Our newly cleared patch on the side of our house. When we started clearing it we thought it was 12" from the house but ended up being 36" of grown over rock bed. It was a much bigger job than we anticipated.
Our new raspberry patch. We are very excited for this. Pulling the rocks out... not so fun but hopefully next summer we will be reaping the benefits.
We also finally pulled up the rock bed in the middle of the front yard. The rock bed was about three times bigger than we thought. I guess that is what happens when you let it grow for 25 years without any attention.
Before...
After...
I took the kids to two different pumpkin patches this year. The first one was actually for apple picking but there were barely any apples to be had. There were some really cool scarecrows. I took a picture of these two.
The place we chose to pick apples with was about 1 hour away but we went with friends so it still was worth it. The kids had a blast. I can't believe I didn't get more pictures.
The second place was much closer and it was just the kids and me. We had a great time. They pet the animals, took a train ride, went down a HUGE slide (no pictures because I was required to catch them and was also hanging on to Will) and rode tricycles to their hearts content.
Reagan with the scarecrow she picked out.
We made a huge leaf pile this year. Our neighbors very happily let us rake their leaves into our pile as well. The kids had a blast jumping into the pile for probably a full two weeks.

One fun tad bit: our neighbor came over and took a picture of the kids for the community calendar and they ended up using one of Reagan. Who knew leaves could be so much fun!
