Ainsley is our resident 3 year old. She is pretty excited to be 3. The day after her birthday the first thing she asked me when she awoke was, "am I still three?" She had a Halloween birthday party and celebrated with Ethan, Alli, and Kaitlyn from the ward and Emma from down the street. She dressed up as a blue princess and had a blue barbie cake. The kids played pin the nose on the jack-o-lantern and ate mummy dogs. Her birthday breakfast was pumpkin pancakes and her dinner was Ham Fried Rice.
At her yearly check up we learned that she is now officially on the charts! She is still the highest percentile but at least she is now included in the percentages. Her hair just gets more beautiful with its long dark curls. Her eyes are still a mystery to us. I think they are now a green/brown. Maybe by four she will have an eye color.
Ains still finds it her mission to be the family tease. She is constantly egging someone on. She loves her older sister dearly and is bored without her. She doesn't like it when Reagan has friends over because she looses her playmate (at least all to herself, which she prefers). Her favorite pretend play activity is "mom, kid, baby" or what I would call "house". She takes great care of her babies and is constantly pushing them around in strollers. One baby she received from Santa last year and I still hear about how it is her special baby that Santa gave her.
Ainsley also is a huge fan of her little Gigamilly. She loves Will just about to death. Her hugs always seem to be too rough but she is the first one on the scene to help with anything he might need. She has named him "our baby". She constantly calls him the baby and even has started Marcus calling Will "baby". Ains loves to wake Will up from naps or be the first one in his room when he wakes up. She plays with Will through the crib and they throw his giraffe back and forth. They have loudness in common and every now and then get in hollaring matches. They go back and forth laughing the entire time.
Sleeping is one of my favorite things about this child. She likes to sleep. She still takes naps pretty regularly and is the only child thus far that enjoys her rest time. She is also my night child. She is happiest the last part of the day and will stay up super late if we let her.
Ainsley still loves her baby and her cozy blanket and pillow. She only sucks her fingers at sleep time now (this was the 3 year old rule and she actually follows it which shocked Marcus and I). Her favorite color is Blue and second is purple. I really hurt her feelings the other day when I was thinking about purchasing blue pajamas for Reagan. Ainsley quickly reminded me with tears in her eyes that, "Reagan doesn't even love blue."
Daddy is still number one in her eyes. I think she will always be a Daddy's girl. She does love mommy now too and calls for both of us in the night. She has super long slender fingers. Her hands look so much like my Grandma Motes' hands it is creepy. She is also my routine child. She likes things to be the same each day or week.
I sure love this little lady. She is full of snuggles and makes me laugh constantly. She comes up with the cutest statements that are all grown up and so cute from her little girl mouth. Our family would not be the same without her.

I miss my kids so much. I cannot wait to see this cutie. I will try to remember that "Reagan doesn't even love blue." I love that you really let us into your life with the children. Kudos to you and Marcus for working so hard to have such happy children.
