We had a great Memorial Day this year. We left first thing in the morning to head to a dealership and purchase this beauty. After 5 full years as a one-car family (and 3 kids later) it was time to enter the next phase of life.

It is a Toyota Sienna 8 passenger van. Who knew that this would be my dream vehicle!? Our whole family has been excited all day about this. It has been a long long long time coming but the patience finally paid off and the time was right. We are so excited (that is what Reagan has been saying all day).
Although this is NOT his dream car (or motorcycle), Marcus is pretty thrilled to have a vehicle that will stay clean and be "his".
I don't have any pictures (actually very sad about this) but we ended the day with a super fun BBQ at our house. We had several families from the ward over and just played and visited. It was a great mix of people (mostly anyone we could think of that might be available and not have a "family event" to attend) and a pleasant day to hang out in the backyard together. We had the kiddie pool out and Marcus even broke out the horseshoes. We hope to do it again this summer.
What a great day to celebrate and remember those that have served our country and have gone on before us.

What a fun thing to do for Memorial Day and great for those who don't have family close. I love the van too!
It was a fun bbq. Thanks for the invite.
I have a few pics. If you'd like some, send me an email.
Wahoo! Yeah for the mini van! You definitely deserve it with three kids. Oh the room you now have :) Glad you enjoyed your Memorial Day.
You drive a mini-van, you drive a mini-van :p hee hee. It looks pretty.
Yay! Love the van! Isn't it so great to have that much room? Seriously the best. Sounds like a super fun day. We miss you guys a ton!
vans! hurray! seriously...such a blessing. (doesn't that make you feel very momish that we're so excited about minivans?)
YAY FOR MINIVANS! You SO deserve that, Brit. It HAS been a long time coming. Good for you.
Second, thanks for your message on my blog. Truth be known, I haven't been writing elsewhere lately. Just busy, busy, busy with Life. Hopefully summer will free up some time for the wants vs. simply the needs.
Lastly, I just heard a message Marcus left on my cell last night regarding your reunion. Let me know what questions/concerns you have and I'll get on it immediately.
Love you, girl.
That's totally awesome! Hurray for minivans, especially Toyota minivans, very nice.
I am so glad you have a mini van. I plan on trying out every seat in the van when you come to visit
