Last Friday ended a week of rainy weather and hardly any play dates. The kids and I were kind of just "done". I asked the girls if they would like to have a Family Fun Night which, usually means short movie, popcorn, and staying up a little bit later than normal. They were thrilled.
Reagan is super ultra sensitive to movies right now and gets frightened very easily. She won't watch anything with a villain which leaves us with Bob the Builder, Dora, Diego, and some Care Bear movies (can't have the ones with Dark Heart;)). Truthfully, we rarely watch TV so it isn't a big deal but Marcus and I were not in the mood for Dora. Marcus proposed a carnival instead. The girls were a little apprehensive but decided to give it a chance.
We had a blast. Reagan declared that a carnival is, "way more fun than a movie!" It was more fun for mom and dad too.
Ring Toss
Bottle Throw
Spin Ride
Prizes purchased with tickets won (fruit snack, circle straw, and one other thing I can't remember). Gotta love the forced smiles.

I LOVE this idea!!!!
You guys are the COOLEST!
Ainsley's curly hair is so adorable!
Dude, you have to be the best photographer ever! You caught the bottle pyramid in mid tumble! Good work babe.
Awesome! These will be moments your children will remember for the rest of their lives!
LOVE it! sounds like a great time!
I swear I just looked at your blog the other day and it was still on your exhausted post. Blogging queen!
Love all the other posts and pictures. I made strawberry jam my first time last year. I did both freezer jam and the regular kind that I bottled. My kids preferred the regular kind and wouldn't touch the freezer kind. I ended up throwing them out. It's a great deal to do it during strawberry season, we go to the Pine Tree Apple Orchard in White Bear Lake to pick strawberries for this. They are so sweet and tastey! I'll never buy California bitter berries again! (at least not for jam)
This is awesome!! I'm totally going to borrow this idea. Thanks for posting about your carnival events too!!
