Grandma

We loved having Grandma come and spend two weeks with us. She taxied Reagan to dance and swimming lessons, with Ainsley in tow. She did all of the laundry and all but 2 loads of dishes. She took Reagan for daily bike rides and walks, took the dog out for potty breaks, and watered our lawn... the old fashioned way since we don't have a sprinkler system. She also weeded my garden that was getting very out-of-control. That many not seem like a big deal unless you know my mom. She is not a gardener and really dislikes weeding.

She also came bearing many gifts for our family. Our home was filled with fun dress-ups, multiple coloring books, pajamas galore, and chap stick. My personal favorite gift was a new cookbook (Artisan Bread in 5 minutes a Day) which I LOVE.

After hearing Reagan and Ainsley fighting over bath towels for two weeks, Grandma bought them each a Princess bath towel with a crown for the head piece and we have had bath time peace ever since. (It also helps that Marcus is a great Daddy and pretends the girls are princesses each time the towel is placed. He calls them "your heiness" and bows to take their hand to walk them to their pj's. SO CUTE!)

Grandma also changed diapers non-stop, gave baths, made breakfast and lunch, took every morning shift (with Reagan, our early riser), took care of potty accidents (7 in one day for Reagan), and bought me a new dress for Will's blessing. It wasn't an easy two weeks with our family still adjusting to the new baby. I am sure there is more she helped with that I didn't list but these are what I could remember right now.

Reagan is still praying that Grandma can come back soon. We love you Grandma! Thanks for everything.
