Today I had my 38 week appointment.
When Marcus and I chose our clinic we were very upfront about wanting an ultrasound at 38 weeks to check the size of the baby and they were completely okay with that... until the end of the pregnancy when suddenly they felt there was no medical reason to justify one (like a 10lb baby isn't reason enough!). We pushed pretty hard and wouldn't give up on it. After measuring ahead for 3 full months and with our pushing they finally agreed to do an ultrasound.
So today was the blessed event and guess what it revealed? Another 10 lb baby with a HUGE head. The tech said the head measured full term and was big enough that it wouldn't give her the measurement. Lovely! She said, "Good luck with that one!" as I walked out.
The good news is that the staff is FINALLY listening to me and willing to do something. Suddenly my appointment for next week is moved to this Thursday and they will be conferencing together to decide "the plan" before then. Minnesota is super strict about inducing anyone before 39 weeks so who knows what "the plan" will be but I am thrilled to finally have their cooperation and concern. I will be 39 weeks next Monday.
I haven't been this cheerful in a LONG time:)

It stinks when no one listens to you, I'm so glad they started!

Hopefully things will go good and they will figure out a good plan. Wish we lived closer so that we could come see ya all! Good Luck!
