There is nothing like a 3 year old!

I can honestly say that 3 is my favorite age. Here are a few reasons:

- Most are potty trained at this point.
- They can tell you what hurts and where and when.
- Coordination is at a point where they are more fun to play with and faster to get from A to B
- They can dress themselves and put on their own shoes and coat.
- Cooking "help" is less messy and more productive.
- Most projects/crafts are less messy (some mess is a little fun right?)
- Life is EXCITING
- They can entertain themselves almost effortlessly at this point (pretend play, looking at books etc)
- Learning is serious fun. They are soaking up everything (ex: this morning we were driving to the ward Easter egg hunt and Reagan exclaims from the back seat, "We forgot the freaking eggs mom!")
- They are still young enough to want to cuddle, be held, and give lots of love (another example: One day this week I was trashed. I was exhausted from lack of sleep and Ainsley was still sick and needing constant attention. Reagan would randomly come and give me big hugs and kisses several times throughout the day. Seriously, saved our entire family that day.)
- They are hilarious!

I could go on and on and on but I will stop there. Yesterday brought this train of thought to mind. We decided to have practice Easter egg hunts so Reagan and Ainsley would know what to do and what a hunt was. The girls were thrilled and loved searching for the eggs, over and over again. We ended up practicing inside and outside and then took turns hiding the eggs. Reagan didn't care that the eggs were empty, she just loved finding them.

We quickly learned that she also loved hiding the eggs. Shortly afterwards we realized she could hide all the eggs and then hunt for them herself and we still had to help her find the sneaky ones that she had hidden. Just another reason why 3 year olds are the BEST!

We love you Magoo!

Hahaha... love the attention span. It's also nice to know that the forgetfulness doubles for our benefit, they'll forget the mistakes that we make with them ;)
