Easter Celebrations

What a wonderful Easter Sunday! It really has been a great weekend in general. Saturday morning we went to an Easter Egg hunt hosted by a local grocery store. It probably isn't very exciting for older kids but was perfect for our kids. They had a great time and even won a container of bubbles in a drawing.

Ainsley holding tight to her basket and eating the non milk treats we brought so the chocolate wouldn't tempt them

This was the view of Reagan most of the time. She loved seeing her goods.

This little outing was the first time we had taken Ainsley out in more than a week and afterwards she let us know she was done for the day. Reagan and I headed to the ward hunt by ourselves and had a great time. They had plenty of eggs and Reagan had a great time running around finding them. Unfortunately, these are the only pictures I took.

Because we had been cooped up all week and fighting off sickness, our home was a disaster and so Marcus and I spent the afternoon cleaning and getting caught up on the "to do" list. Marcus was really the master behind all that was accomplished. After being caged for a week I was ready to play. In the end we both won. I planted all of my starter seeds (better late than never and more fun than chore to me) and our house was mostly cleaned.
It is Stake Conference weekend for us so Marcus and I were able to go to the adult session together AND alone. Marcus sang Saints Behold How Great Jehovah in an octet and it sounded awesome. In our meeting it was announced that Minnesota is getting another stake (making a total of 8) so there are upcoming changes. It was pretty exciting to be a part of the change and growth. After our session we stopped at a Mexican restaurant for some chips, salsa, and dessert. It was a very overdue date for Marcus and I and a great one too!
Today we had a small visit from the Easter Bunny (thanks Grandma!) and the girls were able to wear beautiful Easter dresses. Reagan felt like a princess until I curled her hair :(. Our Stake Conference was really great. We were part of a 61 stake meeting with Elder Oaks and President Monson broadcasted by satelite from Salt Lake City. Marcus and I discussed on the way home how we are so impressed that the Church uses technology to its fullest and how much time, energy, and money was saved in today's meeting. It was so great to have Stake Conference fall on Easter Sunday. It was the perfect way to celebrate our Savior.

Truly a great weekend!

Oh so cute!
I'll have to remember the milk thing next year for the easter egg hunt, so that we have more than just chocolate in the eggs for the Primary hunt.
Marcus' group sounded so beautiful. We only made it to the adult session because Sunday morning Joel and Joy were sick.

Cute dresses Brittanie. Are those the ones you ordered while in Florida? They are very cute.

I tried to get cute pictures of my girls today in their Easter dresses but they didn't want much to do with it.

Your girls look so cute in their Easter dresses! And I like how Marcus coordinated his tie to match. I realized today that you blog often and I don't check as often as I should. I can't believe you're pregnant! Congratulations! And I boy, too!
