Christmas Eve 2009

Christmas Eve was a perfect day for us.

I had a blast coordinating the food (we decided on a large selection of yummy appetizers). It was funny to realize the very thing that excites me and gives me energy pretty much drains the life right out of my mom. She was a great sport though. I love entertaining.

My parents had planned to take us to "A Night In Bethlehem" which is a real life experience that some neighbors put on every year. It is such a great event but we quickly realized that our kids wouldn't last through that event AND our own family celebration/acting of the nativity. We decided to stay home for the evening and act out the nativity with the kids and it was perfect! The pictures speak for themselves.

Aunt Lindsey acting the part of the angel. It was very entertaining:)

We were very lucky to have everyone scrap the original plans to hang out at home with us. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!

After our nativity celebration we set out stockings and prepared for Santa's arrival. I am working on new stockings for our family but they won't be ready until March... maybe. So we borrowed extra stockings from Grandma.

Aunt Lindsey helped Reagan write her letter to Santa requesting "a computer for kids games only, a cash register" and other desired items. We also set out egg nog and the cookies we had made.

It was a delightful evening. Good food. Good company. Excited little girls.
