After living here for three months we finally closed on a house. It is a foreclosure and in pretty bad shape so we can't move in right away. It is only 4 miles from Marcus' work and there are nature trails all around. The elementary school is 1/2 mile away and we are in one of the best school districts in the area. The pool and library are 2 miles away and our neighborhood is quiet and just enough out-of-way. Our neighbors seem friendly so far (okay so we have only met one couple) and two families across the street have little kids. Hopefully after a LOT of TLC our new home will be perfect for our little family.
Here are a few of our before shots of the outside. There are a lot, mostly for parents sake (my dad is coming out to help us fix it up.)
Awww. The happy couple.

From the front looking at the garage and lovely bushes that need to be firewood
Our lovely overgrown entrance walkway
The front door
Side door to garage. Nothing like a boarded up window to say welcome home:)
Side taken from the back of house looking forward.
Back of house and wobbly deck.
Back fencing... who needs a gate?
Oh yeah... and did I mention that all three surrounding neighbors have pools.

And to complete the circle... this is looking at the front entrance from the side of lot.
WELCOME HOME!

Your house is AWESOME!! The first home Tyler and I bought was a foreclosure. You're going to love it. Plus, if you ever have to sell it, you'll make tons of money! We had to sell our house after only a year because of a change of job. We were really sad, but the extra money was a nice down payment on another place. Anyway, I love it!!!
Brittanie...the house looks awesome! It was good to talk to you the other day.
I looked at the pictures of your girls...wow time flies. I barely recognized Reagan (I spelled that wrong huh?) They are both so grown up!
CONGRATULATIONS! I wish you the very best as you embark on the fixing up process!
Congrats on the new house! We are going through the same thing right now. We closed last week and we will start painting tomorrow! It is a process but we are excited. I can't wait to see more photos! Good luck!!
I am so happy for you guys. It looks like a house with personality. It does need a haircut though. Thanks for all the pictures.
I love the pictures. Your house will look so great with someone to love it. A hair cut will be greatly appreciated.
LOoks like a great home. Can't wait to see pictures of the inside!
I want to know the specs on the house! As we are looking right now I am obsessed with floor plans and other misc. house info. Congrats though, we are totally jealous and ready to be in our own home again.
Congratulations on the home. That is nice that it is so close to your work.
Yo, Shanna and I just saw your House pics, I love the house. Looks like you have a lot of projects to keep Marcus busy. I think you will need me there for a least 6 months. Just get me a room ready. Shanna says HI!
Fun times ahead! At least you get to make it how you want it, right? I can't wait to see the 'after' pictures. Those are the best :) How lucky for you that your dad is so handy and can help out.
Hurray! A house of your own! Sounds like it's in a great location. We know all about fixer-uppers! It'll be a lot of work, but so much fun at the same time. You have such a good eye for what looks good, you're place will look great when you're done with it! Have fun!
