At ten months old this girl is as happy as any parent would hope. She is very independent. She plays well all by herself and not-so-well with her sister... at least that is what Reagan would say. The truth is Ainsley wants nothing more than to be with her sister and sometimes it drives Reagan a little bonkers. Most of the time she is good to her sister and she is learning how to ask for help when Ains is causing havoc on her toy creations.
Nothing pleases Ainsley more than her Daddy. Reagan is a close second... maybe even a first but mom is a definite last. We thought Reagan was a Daddy's girl and she did love her dad (and his guitar) but Ainsley has brought this to a whole new level. It thrills Marcus. He is content to hold her and play with her and in turn get all sorts of snuggling. When Dad walks in the door from work, no one is as excited as his little Ains (and that is big stuff because Mom is ALWAYS excited for Daddy to be home).
Ainsley also inherited some wicked genes from the Jackson/Motes side of the family. She loves to tease. In my mind I am thinking, "she is too young to be exhibiting such behavior" but it is so. Very reminiscent of Uncle Levi if you ask me. She gets a look in her eye and just keeps doing the same thing over and over if she sees that it is irritating you in the least.
Her favorite game is dropping something and watching someone pick it up for her. This is my least favorite game ever! Reagan did this for about a week and moved on but not Ainsley. She has been at it for at least the last 3 months and probably longer. She LOVES it. Anyone can play, people in the store giving her attention, her sister (the most obliging) and anyone else that falls into the trap.
She also refuses to be fed. She has been like this since 6.5 months old and she didn't start eating food until 6 months so pretty much from the beginning. At first this made it very difficult because she had no teeth but you learn how to adapt. It is much easier now that she has broken six teeth. They all came in within three weeks of the first.
Lastly, she is super aware of what is going on around her. She imitates everything we do. She can copy just about anything we do with our hands or mouths. She loves to play and have the attention of anyone in our family. We love this little lady so much!

Sounds like they keep you on your toes. Cute little girls.
I still can't believe we've never actually seen Ainsley in person. She sounds like so much fun.
I understand about being excited when Dad comes home. It is a wonderful time of day around our house too.
I know my comments are late, but your Ainsley is such a cute little girl!!!
