My posts are all out of order this year but I figure it is better to have them out of order than not at all.
Last weekend we had Ainsley's birthday party. She was adamant that she have a Barbie birthday party so that is what we did. Marcus threw together a great poem for her invitation (it takes him about five minutes and takes me 2 days).
Hey Girls! It's Ainsley's birthday and we want to celebrate.
Come join us this Saturday, we can hardly wait.
A good time will be had by all,
so please dress warm (because it is fall).
It's a Barbie Bash, so girls, plan on some fun!
Games, manicures, and lunch, yum.
Party is on from noon to two
And please RSVP... see you soon
Aunt Lindsey came to help and we were so grateful. Parties always seem to need an extra adult... at least at our house. Lindsey also had two of her friends come help paint nails. It was a little humorous because both of her friends were nervous to paint nails. Neither one of them own any nail polish. We were happy to have them regardless and they quickly learned that little girls are pretty easy to please.
We played a version of cake walk and outside games like red rover, and red light/green light. Ainsley had a great time having friends over and I think it helped to solidify friendships at school.

Ainsley's Birthday Party 2013
Best picture of the day. Ainsley decided to lick the frosting off of the barbie top and the kids faces watching were priceless. Seriously had us laughing for the rest of the day.

Love her friends faces when she licked the frosting off her barbie. You timed the picture perfectly.
