A day in the life

October 25th.

Today I had some good laughs... matter of fact, this week I have had some good laughs over odd things that have happened.

Today I had someone ask me if they could go in front of me at the fabric counter.  She was rushing to get to her son's school.  I had to say no because... I was late picking up Ainsley from school.  What are the chances?  It still bothers me that I had to say no.

Ainsley and I were doing one of her math assignments from school.  We had to make two random lines of buttons and count them and compare them.  Will was also doing the assignment.  I gave him a small handful of buttons and he starts whining.  "Mom, you gave me choking hazards.  You should not have done that!  These are too small (pointing to the smallest buttons)."  I was dying laughing.  He was not amused.

This afternoon we played at a neighborhood friends house.  They have a newer cat.  It totally pounced on Paige.  Knocked her over and all.  It didn't scratch her, just pounced and left.  Crack me up.  She didn't cry at all and just sort of glared at it.  I had me laughing every time I imagined it afterwards.

Also at our friend's home, there is a tire swing.  All three of my kids played on it for quite a while and really got spinning.  I was suprised they lasted so long because they usually start getting motion sick.  We left to immediately go to a Dr appt and while driving Ainsley said she didn't feel so great.  I gave her a gallon ziplock bag that happened to be in my diaper bag just in case.  We pulled into the dr office parking lot and she immediately threw up.  Again, I was chuckling.  Poor kid.  I just gathered the kids from the car and we walked into the office, zip lock bag and all.  Found a garbage and headed on our way like nothing had happened.  When did I get to this point as a mom?

Last thought of the day... I love bedtime.  It is so exhausting but I really love sharing little moments with my kiddies.  I love cuddling Paige.  I love chatting with Reagan.  I love reading stories to Will and Ainsley.  Some days are not so filled with "loves" but tonight was.
