Mother's Day

What an amazing Mother's Day!

It was seriously the best yet.  Marcus was on top of it and had taken the kids out the weekend before (while I was at the roadshow dress rehearsal and a baby shower) to purchase gifts.  I had no idea.  I had forgotten about Mother's Day.  Marcus was then out of town most of the week and the girls would slip every now and then so I had a good idea of what I was getting but it was SO FUN to get the little surprise slips along the way.  And super cute!  One day Ainsley asked Reagan, "Is today the day I can tell mom about her earrings?"  Reagan then whispered, "no, no, no" and took her away to explain.  I pretended not to have noticed them talking.

The girls are also in a little six week preschool through the high school and so they made cards and frames with pictures in them.  When they sent home a note to send a picture back we realized we didn't have any to send.  At least not within the last year.  We quickly took some pictures and sent them off for 1 hour processing.  Thank you Walgreen's!  They aren't the best and a shower that day would have been ideal but here are the shots we captured.

My mop broke recently and I have been looking for a new steam mop.  I had decided this was the week so started researching online and tried to get some info from a friend of mine.  I couldn't get ahold of my friend (Marcus had already contacted her so she was avoiding me... ) so I started looking myself and was determined to buy one that day.  Reagan saw me looking on the computer and said something along the lines of "that looks just like the one we were thinking of getting you for Mothers Day".  Surprised once again.  Too fun.

Sunday morning Marcus and Reagan made breakfast for me and had presents waiting on the table.  Reagan was very excited. Watching her was so much fun. She also did her hair "special" for Mother's Day. She spent probably 30 minutes in the bathroom. I can't believe I didn't take a picture. It was very cute. She did two pigtails and then two braids. She even added a cute flower clip for the front part. In church she waited for Ainsley to go up and sing with her but Ainsley was not having any part of that. Reagan was one of the last kids to go up and got stuck behind the pulpit. Every once in a while she would peek her head around to see if I was looking at her and give me a big smile.

Dinner was a struggle because I hadn't had a chance to go shopping from Marcus being out of town and so we just threw some random things together. I have no complaints though. It was a wonderful day. I feel so lucky to be the mom of these little kiddos. They are so great in such different ways. It was a very happy and content day.
