We really had such a great time this past visit.
Reagan LOVED LOVED LOVED the new games Grandma taught her. Mother May I is her current favorite. My mom has also taught her how to play Rock Paper Scissors, and Hot & Cold.
Reagan and Grandma played Mother May I enough that my mom started inventing crazy steps (Mother May I take 3 umbrella steps - and then do some prance with a pretend umbrella). Reagan was eating it up. This imaginative girl was in heaven. Ainlsey also joined in on the fun and did pretty well.
One day Reagan was the Mother and stopped the game and said to my mom, "Grandma, if you want to take a round-off step, that would be okay." I just happened to hear this and about died laughing. Unfortunately, my mom declined the offer.

I also can't forget to mention that the girls still play this game regularly. One day we had our neighbor friend, Sophia, over and Ainsley was trying to tell her something but she couldn't understand what Ainsley was saying. Sophia kept walking closer to Ainsley saying, "What?" and Ainsley would just repeat herself but louder. Sophia finally got frustrated and got my attention. "I just don't know what she is saying!" I asked Ainsley what she said and she smiled at me and said, "No you may not!" Again, dying laughing. I informed Sophia that Ainsley was playing Mother May I with her. She was a little embarrassed and said, "oh, okay" and then played the game.
Another thing we did this visit was sew. My mom was sure that I wouldn't buy fabric or be prepared for this one but I proved her wrong. Let's just say she was not prepared to sew but she was a good sport and taught me a ton. I can now say that I have finally used the sewing machine that I received as a gift 4 years ago. Sewing is actually very relaxing and fulfilling for me... if the machine is working and I understand what I am supposed to be doing:)
My mom is always great about letting the girls sew with her and they love it.
A family tradition. My dad did this with us when we were kids and does it every time he visits. Great Memories!
The kids having a blast in the backyard with Grandma and Grandpa. As I mentioned before, the weather here has been awesome this spring. Almost like being home. We are LOVING it.
I didn't write a ton about it or take pictures but we also had a whole list of projects that Cliff, Marcus and my Dad worked on. Bunkbeds, kitchen trim, completed storage/tornado shelter (huge Thank you!), Door problems fixed, Doorbell actually working, leaking bath fixed, dryer vent properly installed and a whole bunch of small things I didn't list. Thank you Thank you Thank you!
