We are back

I will be posting more details and lots of pictures in the next couple of days but wanted to document some of the highlights of the trip before I forgot.

We just got back from a FABULOUS trip to Florida to visit the Darrington Grandparents. We busted out the summer gear and didn't look back. Seriously, I didn't want to come home.

Highlights for Ainsley:
Meeting Grandma and Grandpa

Trying on everyone's shoes
Eating Darrington taco salad (except she loved it a little too much and we cleaned up the results of that in the middle of the night... twice)

Hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa
Playing in the sand or at the park or anywhere outside
Cooking with Grandma
Riding on the teacups
Dancing with Grandma
Meeting Cinderella
Playing with cousin Aubrey
Hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa

Highlights for Brittanie:
Learning how to crochet (YEAH!!!!!)
Awesome family pictures (Thank you Becky!)
Getting to know Grandma and Grandpa
Warm weather and happy kiddos
Hanging out with family

Highlights for Marcus:
Spending time with Family
Seeing the Saturn 5 Rocket
BBQ outside
Spending time with Family
Boogie Boarding (at least attempting)
Late night talks with family

We had a great time in Orlando and left sunny 80 degree weather to come home to snowy 10 degree weather. Needless to say, we miss Florida already. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder and I would say we have experienced this in the last few years. These visits just confirm the desire we have to live near family. All in due time I guess.
