Flashbacks Feb/March 2013

These pictures brought back more memories.  My grandmother had been failing in health and my dad would travel to Wyoming to help care for her one weekend a month.  This was the same winter we were sick for weeks (really months) on end.  We had just gotten over the flu and Paige was sick.  My grandma died and we were getting ready to leave for the funeral.  I was worried about Paige so I took her to the pediatrician to make sure she would be fine, especially to travel.  They said it would be no problem.

We drove to Star Valley and Paige was super sick.  We were worried.  We skipped the viewing that evening and then decided to quickly drive home the next morning.  My sister came with us to drive as Marcus and I were super sleep deprived.  (How awesome is that!?)

When I took her back to the doctor my pediatrician said the on call guy I had seen two days prior had written in his notes that she had RSV.  What!!!  I was ticked!

She was super sick for the next 10 days.  I had to take her to the hospital three times to be suctioned in the middle of the night.  Of course, Marcus had to leave for China the day after the funeral (which we missed).  He was miserable also because he had finished with the flu last and was still recovering and then left a sick baby and exhausted wife.  It was chaos.

This is a picture of a paint tape roadway I helped the kids build to provide some entertainment while I was taking care of a very sick baby.

One day Will wanted a cape.  I couldn't do anything to provide one so he got creative.  It made me laugh so hard.

I taught the girls how to fishtail braid.  I don't remember if this is Ainsley's or Reagan's attempt but I was pretty impressed.

Poor sick baby.  She had to sleep in the car seat or in my arms at all times.

Our little table of medicines.

You have to love the dark circles. The tired eyes of this Momma.

Thank goodness it ended!
