This year has been busy. It feels like I say that every year and yet the next year seems to be more so. Our family has more commitments each year and Marcus has needed some extra time at work lately so we decided that I would take the kids to get pumpkins without Marcus this year. (I love that Marcus is sad to miss these adventures. I love that he enjoys these family outings.)
Our adventure took us to a place called the Red Barn. The kids were super excited and so was I. This has been a great tradition for us (one that we missed last year with moving/new baby).
Will and Ainsley loved being at the front. Every few minutes Will would turn around and give me a huge grin.
See, I was there! Doesn't Paige look thrilled?
When we arrived at the field of pumpkins the kids jumped out and found many pumpkins that they wanted. Will found one right away that was huge and sat on it until he could wait for me no longer and he rolled it to the stroller. I was impressed. Paige loved all the pumpkins and, of course, I didn't take a single picture of any of the kids or the field of pumpkins. It really was such a pleasant time.
After they were each satisfied with the perfect pumpkin, we played. Between the giant slide, giant sandbox, and kid cars there was endless fun to be had. We overstayed the limits by about 20 minutes. The kids were great (until we made it to the car and the whining started). I really treasure these times with my kiddos.
