It was so refreshing to get together with my girls! Just what the DR ordered. It was oddly comforting to see the same tired circles surrounding their eyes. Although we are spread throughout the country, we are in the same stage of life and have the same desires for our families. Late night talks, constant laughter plus the addition of crazy and adorable kids made this trip unforgettable.
Lauren (the soccer player, violin player, and one of the nicest people you will ever meet)
Laura (the organization queen, also super talented in making things look pretty and getting things done)
Bee -(our fashion girl, amazing style AND class, also incredibly crafty - this girl can turn nothing into gold)
Angie (guitar player, photographer, and fun fun fun this girl is always up for an adventure)
Our kids (all except mine that is)
Bryce, Dallin, Mylie, BroganOur version of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Lauren said it perfectly:
1.) A good dose of laughter is healthy – I need to do that more often.
1.) A good dose of laughter is healthy – I need to do that more often.
2.) Stories are always so much funnier many years later –especially when told from another’s perspective
3.) You can never have too many cooks in the kitchen
4.) There’s something about food and happiness that go together really well
5.) It doesn’t matter if you buy matching clothes if you all live in different states
6.) All kids LOVE and need their mommies
7.) 6 adults + 5 kids in one small house w/one bathroom (and one bathroom plug) works out just fine
8.) 1:00 am talks can be very enlightening
9.) I'm not sure if personality tests are all that accurate:)
10.) I need my girlfriends
It was so much fun to re-live funny stories, discuss our hopes for the future, laugh, cry, and laugh some more with these amazing ladies. My husband is AMAZING for forcing me to go even though the timing wasn't great (will it ever be in the next 5 years?). He said to me, "You have to go, you need this." And. He. Was. Right.
