Happy Birthday Ainsley

On Friday it was this little lady's second birthday.

While she was peacefully slumbering, mom and dad were busy decorating

and making a special birthday crown

When our chunky monkey woke up she was super duper excited to see the decorations and kept saying, "Wook mom, bawoons", "Wook mom, these (pointing to streamers), "Wook mom, presents!" It was ADORABLE to watch her discover her birthday.

She loved, loved, loved her birthday crown.

She had a great time opening presents

And then trying them out

The highlight of the day was definitely the phone call from Grandma Jackson. Grandma sang "Happy Birthday" and Ainsley kept singing along and then saying, "Again papa, again." Grandma (also known as papa to Ainsley) probably sang 5 or 6 times before having to hang up.

After the morning festivities (including her breakfast of choice - homemade egg mcmuffins) we headed over to our old ward for their weekly play group. The girls had a blast.

That evening we decorated her cake together. Marcus and I couldn't think of anything to make for a cake so it ended up being a random yellow cake (because Ainsley loves bananas and they are yellow) with a flower on top. The girls helped add some decorations too.

and then enjoyment.

Our family would not be the same without this spunky girl. She is full of hugs, kisses, and unconditional love. She is a feisty thing but also very sweet. She loves to help out and do things herself. Her favorite thing to say right now is, "Not talking to you Neegan, talking to Mommy", or "Not talking to you, talking to Daddy." You get the idea. She loves her sister... I mean really loves her sister. It has been so fun to watch them play together and become friends. Ainsley is super tall but becoming a beautiful little girl. Her hair is getting so long but still has the curls like her dad. Our home would definitely not be the same without her. We love you chunky monkey! Happy Birthday.
