Marcus has had high pressure in his good eye for the last couple of months and the doctor decided that surgery was necessary so Monday morning we dropped Magoo off at her friend Mia's house and the rest of us headed down to Indy for the surgery.
We were lucky to have a morning appointment and didn't have to wait very long at all. The surgery went well and hopefully the iritis attack it causes won't last very long. Before the surgery begins they put the patient completely out and then give the numbing shots in the eye. Then they allow the patient to wake up for the rest of the surgery. When Marcus was waking up he was a little out of it and was trying to crack jokes and tell stories. He said that he can remember the doctor asking him to stop talking. He also kept asking them if they remembered to record the surgery (which they did) because he didn't want them to forget. We have had some laughs over it all. When we picked Reagan up, she was speachless with Daddy's huge patch. She just kept staring and said she was scared. Now she is very good at blessing Daddy's eyes in her prayers and calls it "his big owie".

Marcus,
Did you get a description of the chick who punched you in the eye?
After seeing your eye and toes I'm realizing I was never cut out to be a doctor. And I would never, ever, never want to see any type of surgery ever performed on me.
Wow, you guys. Marcus we hope your eye gets better. Thanks for sharing your blog with us! It's fun to see what's going on with y'all. (Though I wouldn't say your eye looks like "fun," but you know what I mean!) We love you guys! -The Lows
